Visual schedules are a scientifically proven method for helping children and adults with autism develop independence in performing various tasks. The use of these schedules promotes the development of play, leisure skills, academic skills, and daily living skills in both children and adults with autism. An important feature of this approach is the specific requirements related to the use of guidance strategies (prompts). Professor Higbee will present the implementation of this method, explain how schedules evolve according to the person's level of skill mastery, describe data collection procedures, and illustrate his remarks with videos of practical examples.
